KFIL AM 1060 was established by Obed Borgen and first went over the airwaves in June 1966 as southeast Minnesota's first true country western station. In April 1971, KFIL FM 103.1 went on the air. Cumulus Media, LLC, purchased KFIL and KVGO FM in April 2004 from Obed's sons, Mike and Jeff Borgen. KFIL AM and FM provide our loyal listeners with national and local news, market updates and agri news, community events, high school sports coverage and holiday concerts, and the very best in true country music. We strive to maintain the integrity and spirit of our rural community.
