About Us KFIL AM 1060 was built by Obed Borgen and went on the air June, 1966. KFIL was Southeast Minnesota's first True Country Western station. In April, 1971, KFIL FM 103.1 went on the air. KFIL AM and FM provides residents with national and local news, up to the minute agri-news and market updates, important community events, play by play of local sports, school concerts and the best in country music. Cumulus Media LLC, the nations second largest owner of radio stations, purchased KFIL and KVGO-FM in April, 2004 and has maintained the integrity and spirit of our rural community.
