About Us
KFIL AM 1060 was built by Obed Borgen and went on the air June, 1966. KFIL was Southeast Minnesota's first True Country Western station. In April, 1971, KFIL FM 103.1 went on the air. KFIL AM and FM provides residents with national and local news, up to the minute agri-news and market updates, important community events, play by play of local
sports, school concerts and the best in country music. Cumulus Media LLC, the nations second largest owner of radio stations, purchased KFIL and KVGO-FM in April, 2004 and has maintained the integrity and spirit of our rural community.

If I wasn’t in radio: I would not be up quite as early in the morning and would be completely retired.
Jobs outside of radio: I worked for the Federal Aviation Administration for 33 years, and retired as the Air Traffic Manager in St. Louis, MO in 2002.

First car: A 1952 Chrysler with fluid drive. What a tank!

Devon Krueger
Devon was just recognized by the Region 1-A Athletic Directors Association with a
much deserved "Distinguished Service Award" for his many sports broadcasts.

ERIK PAULSON
Birthday: December 15
Hometown: Preston, MN
Favorite artists: I have a very eclectic taste in music. I listen to everything from classical to classic rock, to jazz/swing/big band to heavy metal. I’m big into the music of the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s. Here at KFIL, I like to play Toby Keith, Reba McEntire, Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley and Alan Jackson.
What is currently in my CD player: Whatever I’m in the mood for.
Favorite food: Anything I cook or bake myself. Mostly pasta-based dishes.
Favorite holiday: Halloween

If I wasn’t in radio: I’d be working on the railroad.
Jobs outside of radio: Grocery clerk. Don’t laugh. It took eight years of college and two degrees to get that job!
Dream car: 1962 Chevrolet Impala. My father had one when I was a kid. I have many fond memories of that car. I’d love to get one and cruise it up to “Back to the Fifties”. That, or a ’41 Willy’s pick-up truck.
Current car: 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Loredo.
